Obama's Road to Bankruptcy vs. Romney's Road to a Balanced Budget

Over at Commentary magazine Alana Goodman has a second chart up worth seeing. While Obama’s “responsible” budget leads America down a path where interest on the debt exceeds national defense spending, the Paul Ryan budget — endorsed by Mitt Romney and castigated by Obama as “irresponsible” — doesn’t go there. Under the Republican plan spending on interest on the debt is smaller than on national defense, and over the long run leads to a balanced budget. Granted, the Ryan plan doesn’t get to a balanced budget for a very very long time, but the Obama plan (or lack of it) never balances the budget.
